Aozora works closely with our sister company “Cruxagri” to supply top quality Chilean produce into Asia to complement our New Zealand business.
Cruxagri is based in Santiago, Chile, and handles all procurement, inspection and shipping of our Chilean produce. Cruxagri staff all speak fluent Spanish and English, and have over 15 years experience in exporting fresh produce around the world.
Aozora began shipping kiwifruit from Chile to Asia in 2007. We believe Chilean kiwifruit is a viable alternative, and similar in quality to New Zealand kiwifruit. Chile is now the third largest producer of kiwifruit in the world.
Chilean kiwifruit enjoys a lower tariff than New Zealand kiwifruit – part of the Chile / Korea / Japan FTA. There is great potential for future market development for this product, as it continues to grow in volume and value each year. Chilean kiwifruit exports now top 16 million cases per annum.
